Can You Hear Me? (Brad Jersak)
Leaders: Sarah B./Darlene W/Susan B
If your prayers get no higher than the ceiling and you hunger for spiritual authenticity, this book is ideal. The author, a biblical scholar, discovered a big gap between what he found in the Bible and in his own experience. As he wrestled with how to hear God more clearly, he discovered how to listen more deeply – and where the blocks lay that halted his spiritual growth.
Spirituality for the Rest of Us (Larry Osborne)
Leaders: Lynette Sacco/Lisa Z
“This is a good book for people who like reading books about spiritual growth. It’s even better for people who don’t! If you’ve ever thought that maybe you ‘just weren’t the spiritual type,’ this book’s for you.” -John Ortberg
“Takes the blinders off and opens your eyes to some strange and unique ways God works.” -Stephen Arterburn.
“Larry’s insights cut through the commonly accepted, guilt-induced world of religion as he caputures the raw essence of New Testament relationship.” -Craig Groeschel
The Ministry of Motherhood (Sally Clarkson)
Leaders: Anne C
Because Motherhood Isn’t Just a Job. It’s a Calling. A mother’s day is packed with a multitude of tasks that require energy and time: These jobs all are necessary and crucially important. But in the dailyness of providing for a child’ s physical, emotional, and social needs, vital opportunities for spiritual nurture and training can be overlooked. This doesn’t have to be the case. You “can” focus your energy on what matters most.
The Best Yes (Lysa TerKeurst)
Leaders: Heidi V & Shawna M/Anna B. and Leanne N
Are you living with the stress of an overwhelmed schedule and of an underwhelmed soul? Lysa TerKeurst is learning that there is a big difference between saying yes to everyone and saying yes to God. In The Best Yes she will help you: * Cure the disease to please with a biblical understanding of the command to love. *
Good and Evil (Foundations Series)
Chickie and Karen’s Homegroup
“This study on good and evil focuses on the reconciliation between our belief in a good and all-powerful God and living in a world that is fraught with evil. As you learn about the role Satan plays in this world, you will also be reassured of the victory we have in Jesus.”
This study will be followed by a teaching on “If You Want to Walk On Water, You Have to Get Out of the Boat”.
