Bunnies can fly!

Philippians 4:6-7

Discussion Starter:

(As of this writing, the video doesn’t appear to be a hoax.)

Can you imagine the difficult conversation that this family had with their young daughter? Poor Kermit!

We each deal with life’s disappointments. Some are small while other disappointments are huge, feeling unfair or as though God is somehow picking on you.
In Philippians 4, the Apostle Paul offers this: “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”

It’s OK to feel disappointment and sadness when things don’t go as planned. But Paul’s reminder is that the peace of God will comfort you.

3 Questions:

  1. Have you ever rescued an animal?
  2. If you were the parents, what would you tell your daughter about the bunny?
  3. When was a time when something very disappointing happened?

Chew on this:
How does peace from God guard our hearts and minds?
