YOUTUBE DISCUSSION

What does earth look like from a sattelite?

What does it feel like to fly over planet Earth?

Topic: Creation, God’s perspective
Discussion Starter:
Wouldn’t flying be one of the coolest superpowers to have?  Imagine how, once you got used to the novelty of flying, you’d gain a whole new perspective on the world.  In fact, the whole place would probably seem simultaneously smaller and more amazing to you.
Three Questions:
  1. If you suddenly found you could fly, where’s the first place you would go?
  2. If you only ever saw Earth from the perspective in this video, what would you think about humans?
  3. God isn’t just above it all, God understands everything.  What difference should that make for you?
Wrestle with this:
God doesn’t only hover over the earth with an amazing perspective that we don’t have, he also entered into our world as Jesus, and experienced it from the inside. What if God only had one perspective or the other (the overall, or the insider’s perspective)?  What difference does it make that God has both perspectives?
